Moses Lake Tri: Part 1 of 2

Wow, what a weekend!  This weekend ranks very high on the list of epic weekends.  I was so lucky to share it with so many great people.  My parents made the trip to the race, Jess shared in the adventure, Taylor did her first olympic triathlon, and Ayla completed her second triathlon with her entourage watching.

Jonmark (JM) and Leanne, two people who have quickly become special to me, attended the race, and of course my friends Rory and Deanna from BUDU Racing Management put on another great event.

The weather was very bad but it didn’t dampen our spirits.  It was a great day to share with everyone.  It would be impossible to convey in words everything that we shared, somethings just have to be experienced. I will do my best to share the moments.

*First I took some pictures with Taylor and Ayla...

*Ayla seems particularly appalled by this.

*Two special people to me, thanks for the cheers, support, and pictures.

*A big thank you to Leanne for her pictures, a thank you to JM for wearing such a sweet lime green outfit.

*Thank you to Jess for the laughter, pictures, cheers, and fun time.

*The racers' walk to transition

*Jess was the bike bodyguard

*Deanna of BUDU Racing, a great friend of mine.

*Kit matches the bike, sweet.

*If you could describe me before a race the word would be "meticulous."

*Leanne serving as our paparazzi

*Yeeeeahh boyyy!

*Taylor hitched with us, she brought some great cookies!  Thanks to her for sharing our trip.

*Taylor gives her fives before the race?

*Ayla about to start her second triathlon

I was late for my swim warmup so...

*I had to settle for doing this...

*...and this...

*Then this again...

*...and then this again.

*Our day started early

*We were passing people before the race started, always a good sign.

*This is where Taylor got nervous!

*Race party on wheels

*Ahhhh  shucks, rain

*The whips!

*I am happy with the day

*Post race party!

Thank you to everyone who attended the race, cheered and took pictures. I could never thank you enough for the moments that fill my heart and mind with memories that last for much longer than those "moments."
